Sausage and Pesto Pineapple Pizza

Pesto is the sauce for this wonderful tasting Italian-style pizza with sausage and pineapple.

Vous aurez besoin

  • 1/2 lb Italian Sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup Red Onion, sliced
  • 6 oz Pesto
  • 1 (12-inch) Pizza Crust
  • 6 oz Mozzarella Cheese, shreded
  • to taste Basil, fresh

Méthode

  1. Cook sausage and onion in large skillet until sausage is browned and onion is very tender. Drain off fat.
  2. Spread pesto over crust. Top with sausage, onion, and pineapple tidbits over crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Bake at 450°F, 12 to 15 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.

  4. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
